Deonte Clyburn was one of Kentucky's better linebackers this year. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound senior was a defensive force for St. Xavier this season with 105 and helping his team to an 8-5 record.

The scholarship offers began to roll in late last summer and Clyburn began, and has since maintained, a relationship with the coaches at Colorado State. He decided to go ahead and commit to the Rams this week after his official visit.

"They were my number one choice," said Clyburn. "I didn't see any flaw in (committing to them)."

Clyburn greatly enjoyed his visit to the MWC program.

"The visit went very well. It was just a nice place," he said. "The campus was real nice. It was like a family atmosphere."

Clyburn plans to sign with CSU on February 6th, national signing day.
